All goods sold are the sole ownership of Solfex Ltd until payment in full has been made. All goods sold are not inclusive of any carriage charges that may be incurred by the buyer. Product can be collected direct from our distribution centre by prior arrangement. Transportation of goods can be arranged by Solfex Ltd but will form a separate contractual agreement.
All Solfex solar collectors are guaranteed for three years against faulty workmanship. Any other components supplied electrical or mechanical fittings will be guaranteed for 12months. The guarantee covers replacement of faulty parts only.

This does not affect your statuary rights.

In the unlikely event of any product failure the component will be replaced free of charge during the guarantee period only. Once the faulty component has been returned to Solfex Ltd or one of its agents it will then be tested to determine the reason for failure. We will also review our records to record details submitted on the guarantee registration card (within each solar collector manifold /or online. If this has not been submitted to Solfex Ltd upon installation we will require additional information and proof of installation by the installer.

We request any guarantee claim against Solfex Ltd to be made in writing within 7 days of any fault being recorded. Any damages to the product on delivery must be made the same day of delivery by telephone or email. The costs of any shipping arrangements are not covered within the guarantee and are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. However if the product upon testing is found to be defective due to faulty workmanship and by no other means Solfex Ltd will be responsible for the carriage charge for the replacement of the faulty component.

This guarantee has certain exclusions:-

Any damage to the solar collector caused by inadequate frost protection.
Any damage to the solar collector caused by lime scale build up.
Wear & tear Accidental damage / misuse.
Any modification made to the product.

No liability is accepted by Solfex Ltd for any damage caused to persons or property as a result of failure to follow product assembly instructions located within the product and available by PDF download. No liability is accepted by Solfex Ltd for damage to any other equipment that may be used alongside Solfex products. Installations must be carried out to current building, electrical and health and safety regulations and by a competent person who holds valid solar, plumbing & electrical qualifications & certifications and in the event of solar panel connections to an unvented hot water vessel over 15 litres, current G3 approval ( England & Wales ).
Shipping can be arranged by Solfex Ltd on behalf of the customer but will form a separate contractual agreement.
Alternatively customers can collect products from our distribution centre by prior arrangement if they wish to do so.
Shipping arranged by Solfex Ltd will take between 2-3 working days. If overnight shipping is requested this will be charged extra. (please contact us for information) If the customer decides to use a carrier selected by Solfex Ltd, Solfex Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for security of the goods during transit.

Insurance is not included within the cost of any carrier charges additional insurance is available subject to request and additional expense by the customer, ( please see separate shipping costs ). Any claim against Solfex Ltd for damage / loss will be limited to the insurance level requested by the customer. It is entirely the customer’s responsibility to ensure goods are thoroughly checked before signing any documentation provided by the carrier or its agents.

Failure to check the products at this stage will invalidate any insurance claim for damage when a signature of received in good condition has been presented to the carrier or its agent. Evacuated tubes cannot be insured when being shipped by an agent. They are shipped entirely at the customers own risk and any claims for damages to the tubes during transit cannot be made. Solfex Ltd thoroughly checks each tube prior to it being packaged and shipped. Solfex Ltd do not accept any responsibility for goods once they have left the warehouse.

When an individual evacuated tube is broken a replacement tube cannot be sent by courier service. However we do have numerous installers throughout the country and will get a replacement tube to your nearest installer for you to collect as soon as possible. In the event of such damage to the product upon delivery please retain any documentation & damaged packaging for inspection by the insurance / couriers agent. Damaged goods must be returned to Solfex Ltd at the customers own expense. No replacement / refund can be issued upon the outcome of the insurance / courier’s enquiry into the damage unless the goods have been returned.
Distance selling regulations ( DSR ) gives the customer the right to a cooling off period of seven days from the date of purchase.
The DSR does not cover used goods or goods with packaging that has been damaged or lost.
If you have received your goods and you decide to exercise your DSR right you may return them to us subject to the following conditions.

1. You must inform us within seven days in writing by post or by email that you do not require them.
2. The goods must be returned to us in the same new condition as dispatched from our distribution warehouse and in the same unmarked packaging.
3. DSR does not cover any special requested item for example, any special solar cylinder or non stock item.
Solfex Ltd will refuse any items that have not been returned within fourteen days and in original packaging, this does not affect your statutory rights.

Any product returned to SOLFEX LTD under DSR is subject to a 15% restocking charge, solar cylinders are a special order and are manufactured to order and therefore cannot be cancelled upon ordering.
Solfex Ltd will refuse any goods if written explanation is not received within seven days.
All material, whether it is web site based (information / pictures) or in paper form is subject to copyright by Solfex Ltd or a Solfex agent.
